In this short monograph, the life and work of the great Flemish painter are synthesized in a discussion of the research and theories of the most famous critics, historians and philosophers who have studied the artist. Without slighting the stylistic problems of his work, this study concentrates on an analysis of the iconographic content of Bosch˛s paintings.
