Former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg is publishing a guide to stopping Brexit with Vintage imprint The Bodley Head.
Scheduled for publication on 5 October, the book is both a “pragmatic manifesto” and “practical handbook”, and argues that “there is nothing remotely inevitable about Brexit – except that it will be deeply damaging if it happens”.
Entitled How To Stop Brexit (And Make Britain Great Again), it will debunk “myths...used by a powerful elite to justify Brexit in the face of all the evidence against it” and explain “step-by-step” how it can be reversed – and how the country can be reunited in the process.
As well as a long and established career in politics, Nick has also been well-known for his media appearances, being nominated for two Radio Academy Awards in 2014 for his weekly LBC show Call Clegg, and is a current columnist for the i newspaper. His previous book with Vintage, Politics: Between the Extremes, was a Sunday Times Bestseller in 2016, and put forward his case for a new politics based on reason and compromise, drawing on his own experiences from over a decade in Parliament and being at the heart of the 2010-2015 coalition government.
