Bizarre events are set in motion when at a rocket base at Thorness, on a lonely promontory in Britain, scientist John Fleming destroys the brain of the center – a giant computer relaying messages from a planet in outer space which Fleming believes is determined to seize control of the earth.
But sinister influences are still at work. Fleming and Andromeda, the girl created from a formula supplied by the computer, are kidnapped and transported to the oil-rich country of Azaran, where a duplicate of the British computer has been secretly built and where Intel, a power-hungry international cartel, is about to carry out a coup d’ etat. There, to Fleming’s increasing horror, it becomes evident that the distant planet has transmitted a force that is jeopardizing all life on earth…
